A long time ago I was quite fascinated by the idea of electro-gravitics, the notion that one might be able to manipulate gravity or otherwise generate thrust using nothing but the careful modulation and configuration of electric fields.
While this was enjoyable folly at the time, on reflection the other night the thought occurred that even if this were possible, and reasonably efficient, how could it be powered, and more specifically, could I get into outer space using nothing but the humble AA battery?
Just a placeholder for all the annoying things about my MacBook Pro, and why it is starting to feel like a Windows machine.
I had pretty much settled on the idea of making a Lightning McQeeen birthday cake for my son’s third birthday party until I made the silly mistake of asking him what he would like. After some discussion about colour and shape, and some perusing of the birthday cake bible that is The Australian Women’s Weekly’s Children’s Birthday Cake Book (now there’s an apostrophile’s dream) we settled on the request for an orange monster truck.
I was quite happy with the result and thus present as my contender for the next edition of TAWWCBCB Orange Monster Truck.
